The Loki Mythology
Loki, the god of chaos and trickery, is one of the most famous characters from ancient Norse mythology. He is known as a shapeshifter, and a trickster; the god of fire and mischief. “In his early days Loki was a rascal; crafty, sneaky, silly and malicious — Loki The Lad. The son of two Giants, he was so outrageously mischievous that he even sneaked his way into becoming a God.”* He lived a wild life with his new found power and constantly rebelled against the ruling Gods, causing mayhem in the heavens. Eventually, Loki’s tricks went too far, and the Gods exiled him to a deep mountain cave where he remains to this day, eternally punished by a poisonous serpent.
The spirit of Loki reigns supreme at this festival on ancient mountain land. The dark forests, heavy basslines, and moonlit skies provide the perfect enchanted backdrop for fire and magic at night, while the bright sunny days provide the opportunity for mischievous fun.
Embrace the wild spirits within you. Come to the festival with an open mind, an adventurous attitude and most importantly, the will to dance. Dance throughout the night with the Gods, bring light to darkness and free Loki from his eternal punishment.
